The Leadership Journey

Live Edge Leadership invites experienced leaders to engage in a structured journey of reflection, learning, and application inside their real leadership roles.

Participants examine how they lead, think through complex leadership situations, and define a way of leading that reflects who they are.

The work unfolds gradually through real experience, structured lessons, and thoughtful reflection over time.

How the Journey Works

Participants move through a series of modules that explore essential dimensions of leadership.

Each module includes teaching, reflection, and practical application grounded in real leadership situations.

Most participants move through the journey over six to twelve months while continuing in their leadership roles and applying the work in real time.

What Participants Do

Throughout the journey, participants:

  • examine how they currently lead and identify areas for growth
  • reflect on real leadership situations and decisions
  • apply ideas and practices inside their leadership roles
  • navigate leadership tensions
  • examine situations through multiple perspectives
  • strengthen judgment in complex situations

Participants engage the work alongside a community of leaders who apply the ideas in their own environments.

Doug participates in the community and helps leaders think through real situations that arise during their leadership practice.

Integrated Perspectives

Leadership situations rarely present simple answers. Leaders must interpret complex environments, competing priorities, and human dynamics.

Live Edge Leadership introduces several perspectives that help leaders understand what is happening in a situation and determine how to respond.

Participants learn to:

  • interpret complex leadership environments
  • recognize patterns and dynamics inside organizations
  • balance competing priorities
  • respond with thoughtful leadership judgment

The Leadership Charter

Throughout the journey, participants begin to articulate how they lead and what they stand for as leaders.

This work culminates in the creation of a Leadership Charter.

The Leadership Charter is a written personal leadership framework that defines:

  • how the participant leads
  • the culture they create
  • the values that guide their leadership
  • the standards they hold themselves to as leaders

The charter becomes a clear articulation of the participant’s way of leading and a reference point for future leadership decisions.

Community and Support

Participants engage the journey alongside a community of leaders who reflect on their experience, share insights, and discuss real leadership challenges.

The community supports thoughtful dialogue and shared learning as leaders apply the work inside their organizations.

Doug participates actively in the community and helps leaders think through situations that arise during their leadership practice.

Participants also have access to an AI leadership coach trained on the Live Edge Leadership program. The AI coach helps leaders think through questions, reflect on leadership situations, and apply the program’s ideas as they work through the journey.

Commitment

Live Edge Leadership requires thoughtful engagement and reflection.

Participants typically spend several hours each week working through lessons, reflecting on their leadership experience, and applying the work inside real leadership situations.

The journey unfolds gradually as leaders practice new ways of seeing and responding to the challenges they face.
